Tesla Model 3 drive unit fluid service kit.

For those who don’t believe in lifetime fill fluids, we have put this service kit together for you.

Tesla-spec ATF9 (Pentosin or ZF brand, depending on availability at the time) with genuine Tesla filter(s).

There is no drain plug. You can partially remove the pump to all the fluid out or use a fluid evacuation tool available on Amazon:

Alternatively, you can drain the fluid by removing the filter and fluid pump.

Capacity for Standard Range/RWD: 3 liters of ATF 9 and 1 filter

Capacity for AWD and Performance: 5 liters of ATF 9 and 2 filters

The front drive unit takes about 1.75 liters, while the rear is about 2.75 liters. Although this may vary depending on how you drain/pump/evacuate the system. You can measure what comes out and put back in exactly what came out(be sure to add the fluid in the filter).

 

Choose between two fluids: ATF9 for better protection and EDF2 for better efficiency.
