Description
Unplugged Performance Billet Adjustable Front Upper Control Arms – Ultimate Edition. No expenses spared for the ultimate results. Featuring patent pending quick camber change functionality allowing for ultra precise changes between race camber and street camber in under 5 minutes using just an Allen wrench and a floor jack. True asymmetrical billet monoblock design allows for perfect left and right side geometry with precise adjustment of camber, toe and caster with maximum upright clearance. Allows drivers to run -4.0 degree race camber (or more) and easily drive home on street camber pill.
ORIGINS
We strive for perfection with everything we do. We pioneered the first adjustable upper control arms for the Model 3 back in late 2017. Since then we’ve gone through multiple versions, many of which we kept for internal development and never saw public release. Over the years we’ve grown and have had the pleasure of supporting thousands of streetcars as well as setting racing records around the world. Our experience has led us to what we’ve internally called our version 4 front upper control arm. In simple terms, we feel it is the Ultimate. We’ve set records with the fastest Model 3 and Model Y on early prototypes of these and we’re pleased to now release them to our clients. Read on to see why we call these the ultimate…
Patent Pending Camber Quick Change Pill
We drive our race cars to the track on Autopilot, set lap records, and drive home. This is the preferred way to experience the amazing duality of a Tesla being the perfect daily and the perfect track weapon. We wanted a solution that was the ultimate in precision for a camber quick change. We came up with a two setting quick-change pill design that can be swapped at the track in 5 minutes using just an Allen wrench and a floor jack. You’ll notice from a top view the clear labeling of Street or Track camber setting of the ball joint. The beauty of this design (aside from the speed of swapping) is that it is precision engineered and machined to allow the most accurately consistent retention of alignment setting that is not achievable as precisely any other way. We all spend a lot of time and money on getting finely tuned alignment settings for our cars. This method keeps the alignment precise between quick camber swaps between street and track. You’ll never need to worry about alignments remaining precisely where you set them, even after much quick camber changes. Simply enjoy two degrees of additional negative camber at the track and when you swap it back you’ll be spot on to your original street alignment.
No Expense Spared – Asymmetrical Billet Design With Camber, Caster, and Toe Adjustment
It isn’t cheap to install parts, get alignment, and race. We figured why cut corners on budget when a few hundred dollars more can make the difference in performance, let’s just build the best product money can buy. Sure enough, these were not cheap to make. Each monoblock aluminum arm encases the ball joint in a massively rigid asymmetrical design. You’ll notice laser etching denoting LH and RH sides reflecting this. Each side has easy to access turnbuckles and bottom access adjustment points for alignment and provides full control of camber, caster, and toe for the ultimate in alignment options. The shape is precisely sculpted in CAD to optimize suspension travel and retains clearance on full compression.
Negative Camber – Sure How Much?
More than you can afford pal. Seriously though, when we tested on our race car we maxed out at 5.8 degrees of negative camber on our race setting (3.8 degrees on street pill setting). It is safe to say that there is more camber adjustment possible than anyone would ever need. On our race cars we find the fastest settings on race slicks require -4.0 degrees of front camber which these do with ease. Want to lift your car and go overlanding? No problem, these can go positive camber as well to offset for increased height. This design allows for the maximum in flexibility of adjustable camber range. Please note that actual max/min camber depends on variables such as vehicle ride height and type of spring/shock combination.
Silent and Low Vibration OEM Type Sealed Spherical Bearing Design
We’ve set multiple racing records with these but you can enjoy them for your daily commute in blissful Autopilot enabled meditative silence as well. We guarantee it, along with all of our suspension products.
Quality You Can See
We spend a lot on materials and we like to show them off in a hi-tech way. We use a rugged and corrosion-resistant Cerakote clear coating to encapsulate and show off the precisely CNC machined and laser etched aircraft grade 6061-T6 billet Aluminum.
Wheel Speed Sensor Mounting
Although not shown in the initial photos, we include in the design an integrated attachment point to securely attach the wheel speed sensor line.
